Su and Edward had originally planned on getting married in May but with all the restrictions in place, they had to push their wedding date back to September, along with scaling down the day. This made it feel very intimate and special in a different way. It also felt great for me as most of my 2020 weddings had been rescheduled for 2021!
The ceremony took place at St Stephens church in Canterbury and the small garden party was carefully done (covid-19 style) at Edwards parents house around the corner. The ceremony had less than 30 guests in the church and the rest watched over a live stream!
So in the space of just a few hours, there was a multicultural marriage, confetti, food, drink and space hoppers!
And that, my friends, is a triumphant day.
